Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Are your employees feeling stressed at work?

Are their personal issues affecting their ability to be present and engaged in the workplace?

Are they underperforming as a result?

I’m here to help.

What is an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?

An EAP is a voluntary service provided by employers to their staff that offers free and confidential assessments, short-term counselling, referrals, and follow-up services to support their staffs’ emotional and psychological well-being both in the workplace and in their personal lives.

It is designed to assist employees in resolving personal problems that may be adversely affecting their performance. An EAP can help workplaces adopt a more proactive, preventative approach to workplace mental health.

Any employee assistance benefits received by employees remain confidential. So while the employer pays for the service, they have no insight into an employee’s specific use of the service.

EAPs can support staff with a broad range of issues such as child or elder care, relationship challenges, financial or legal problems, wellness matters and traumatic events like workplace violence.

Programs are delivered at no cost to employees. Services are often delivered via phone, video-based counselling or in person.

What are the Benefits of an EAP?

An EAP can assist with:
• Increased performance & productivity
• Improved communications between staff and workplace morale
• Reduced absenteeism, conflict & occupational stress
• Improved employee satisfaction, retention & recruitment
• Reduced worker’s compensation & other costs
• Improved relationships between staff and management

I have experience facilitating successful EAPs.
